Single Yolk and Golden Corn with Single Yolk moon cakes from a
homemade recipe of Chef Kong Ah Wah, a master in the art of making
moon cakes as well as other culinary delights.
According to Master
Kong, in order to achieve a soft pastry shell filled with a soft and
rich texture of a sweet custard and duck egg cream, the moon cake
process requires extensive experience and accurate timing to ensure
a perfectly delectable, soft and moist moon cake.
With 50 years of
cooking and baking experience, Master Kong started cooking back
while he is still a teenager in Bidor and later worked as a chef at
several top hotels and restaurants in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong
Kong before setting up his moon cake confectionary 10 years ago.
Some of Master Kong’s famous creations include the world’s largest
moon cakes and also the world’s tallest moon cakes; these
magnificent feats are a testimony to his culinary skills.
These moon cakes with
its creamy egg yolk centre, represent the full moon and the round
shape also symbolizes family unity. The time for moon cakes and
family gatherings is not complete without gift giving and sharing
with loved ones. Make these moments special by giving Genting’s
delectable moon cakes to those dearest to you. Early birds will be
able to enjoy great discounts up to 20% off! In addition, the moon
cakes will be beautifully packed in 4 specially designed moon cake
boxes as an ideal gift for your family and friends.
