Well known for her versatility and ability to adapt to different genre of music, TV programme and movie, Sammi Cheng, Hong Kong’s Queen of Canton Pop is back to sizzle the audience with more actions, popular hits and superb showmanship for two evenings in Genting. Catch her LIVE on September 26th & 27th 2008, 8pm at Genting Arena of Stars.

What sets Sammi apart from the crowded Canto pop scene in the early 90s was her fast and catchy upbeat songs which propelled her into stardom. She also underwent a complete 180 degree image transformation in 1993, which fitted perfectly with her then new single, a remake of a fast-beat Japanese song.

A couple of years later, she crossed over from Capital Artists to Warner Music as their recording artist. This proved to be her big break to penetrate the huge Mandarin speaking market. Her first Mandarin album, 'Worthwhile' was an instant success, selling more than 300,000 copies in Taiwan alone.

Throughout her career, she has a string of music awards under her belt, and even won film awards for her songs, featured in films such as 'Needing You...' and 'Love on a Diet'. And it is certainly hard to take your eyes off this lovely diva as she appears in 'Infernal Affairs', 'Magic Kitchen', 'Needing You...', 'Everlasting Regret' and more, - she's certainly made her mark in the silver screen too! Considered one of the most bankable artistes in Asia, she has captured the hearts of many as a fashion icon.

Fans will be able to catch Sammi in her latest movie titled 'Investigate Her', where she plays a senior inspector alongside other superstars like Eason Chan and Richie Ren. 'Investigate Her' will be scheduled to hit cinemas next month.
